Build a Nest: A Fundraiser for Warren County Habitat for Humanity

Warren County Habitat for Humanity is looking for local builders, craftsmen, and artisans to donate bird houses to be auctioned by Warren County Habitat for Humanity in an online auction culminating at the Virginia Wine and Craft Festival on May 16, 2020.

Donated bird houses should be special and showcase the donors’ talents.  Submissions can be creative and do not have to be traditional outdoor birdhouses.    

Bird houses should be delivered to the Habitat office at 27 South Royal Avenue (inside the Quality Title Office) by March 20, 2020.  Submissions should include the creator’s name, description, and materials used; optional information to include would be creator’s background and website or social media links.  Bird houses will be displayed locally from April 1-May 15 and at the Virginia Wine and Craft Festival on May 16.  The online auction will open in late April, and bidding will close on May 16, 2020.

Habitat will promote the auction and donors in local media releases and on its social media and website.  Creators are asked to cross promote the auction by sharing their bird house and the auction to their personal/business audience.
