Connection to Warren County:
I moved to Warren County in 2016 from Manassas with my 2 children. We are eight years in and have found some of the most amazing people--ever. We also discovered some reasons why it’s called hell town. I wouldn’t change a thing if I had it to do over. Warren County is our home, and I believe in giving back by serving where I live.
Fun Fact:
I watch cartoons every night before I go to bed, and even though I’m scared of birds, we have a condo-like birdhouse. I’ve created a soap opera with the birds in my yard, and it is wildly entertaining.
Bio:
I’m honored to serve as the Executive Director of Warren County Habitat for Humanity. With over 20 years of experience managing operations, leading teams, and driving growth in a variety of industries, I’ve found my passion in helping families achieve stability and security through homeownership.
Since 2021, I’ve been proud to lead this organization, working alongside an incredible team of volunteers, board members, and community partners. My role involves everything from creating budgets and expanding fundraising efforts to mentoring volunteers and cultivating strong relationships within our community.
With a background in business operations and a knack for streamlining systems, I aim to ensure our programs run efficiently while maximizing their impact. I hope to continue pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, which will help me bring fresh ideas and strategic planning to the table.
Whether writing grants, organizing events, or simply connecting with families, I’m committed to making affordable housing a reality here in Warren County. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the Shenandoah Valley, and finding new ways to give back to the community I love.
Why I love Warren County:
My favorite thing about Warren County is the people and the views. If you ever have a bad day, talk to a tree (there are millions of them), lay your troubles on its leaves, and let the wind carry it away. The people in Warren County are so special; there really is a solid community of people who believe in service. No matter what speaks to your heart, there is an organization you will find here that gives back. It is remarkable to be a part of a community of doers and givers instead of movers and shakers.
