Connection to Warren County:

I was born and raised in Chesapeake, VA (near Virginia Beach). I came to Front Royal after I retired in 2014 to be near my daughter and her family--mainly because I loved being a grandmother and wanted to be very present in my granddaughter’s life, Naomi.

Fun Fact: 

I love to travel and have adventures.

Bio:

I first became aware of the positive impact of Habitat for Humanity when I assisted my father, a cabinet maker, in building custom-made kitchen cabinets for Habitat homes in Norfolk, VA, in the early 1990’s. 

As a social worker fresh out of college, I saw firsthand how a deteriorating home negatively affected the lives of the families I worked with. Most of us can not lay claim to changing the world, but we can positively impact our neighborhood corner and help change the course of life in one family at a time by finding them a Habitat home. I find that WCHFH does just that!

Why I love Warren County:

My favorite things about WC (besides my family) are the friends I’ve made and the opportunities to help build a community that cares for and embraces all its citizens.
