Warren County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. (WCHFH) takes the health and safety of our volunteers and partners seriously. In light of recent developments and the Governor’s Executive Order #55 in Response to Covid-19, WCHFH’s office will remain closed until June 10, 2020, or until the Governor’s Stay-at-Home Order is lifted.
The repair program suspension will continue until June 10. Applications for our repair programs will be accepted from June 10-30. Individuals interested in applying should complete the online eligibility questionnaire at https://warrencountyhabitat.org/homeowner-repairs/. Staff will respond to legitimate questionnaire responses and forward application packets to those who qualify.
The Build a Nest 2020 online auction fundraiser will continue as planned. More information is available on our website and https://www.biddingowl.com/WarrenCountyHabitat.
Our new home duplex build on Brown Avenue will continue with professional subcontractors, maintaining group size limits and social distancing guidelines, through the current state stay-at-home order. The WCHFH Board will assess future build plans, application timelines, and activities once the current stay-at-home order is lifted.
Warren County Habitat for Humanity, Inc. remains committed to addressing the issue of affordable homeownership in our community. As the current health crisis persists, our economically vulnerable neighbors will need help and support. Warren County Habitat hopes those community members that are able will continue to support Habitat and the other social service organizations in our community supporting low income families and those affected by the current health crisis and its aftereffects.
WCHFH staff will continue to monitor e-mail and phone contacts and provide a timely response. As the situation unfolds and more guidance is provided regarding group interaction and virus response, WCHFH will make announcements via our website at www.warrencountyhabitat.org and our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/warrencountyhabitat regarding changes or adjustments to our programs and opportunities.
